Forums Help - vBulletin, IPB, phpBB, SMF skins and community - View Single Post - Can you Import Threads/Posts from Another Forum Type?

I was wondering if I tried a different forum software type and then decide to go with Vbulletin can I import the threads/posts from the other software or will I have to start over if I change? I'm leaning toward Vbulletin, but I'd like to try some free software first to see if it will work as well, or at least until I can convince them to spring for a license.
