First forum that you visited

How many of you can still remember the first forum you visited? What was the subject matter about, and for how long did you stay a member?

Did you have a reason for leaving, or are you still a member to this day?

Also, what forum software did it use?

What about hacks/features?

Tell us everything you remember!

The first forum I visited was related to work at home moms. I am a wahm myself, so I had a blast when I found one that shares the same interests as I did. Forums are really a great place to be!

It was about computers, computers, computers. The forum talks about everything in the world of computer from hardware to software to viruses to making money to getting pissed of with spams.

The last item that I said was the reason why I left the site. It's been 3 years ago already and I couldn't remember the exact name of that forum anymore. But I think they have used vbulletin, the old version which they are upgrading most of the time and have some problems once in a while because of conflicting updates.

It was a computer nerd geek hangout a friend invited me too. Alot of the people that go to Defcon and Blackhat would visit, good information for anything geeky related.

I think the first one I visited was KarateForums.com .. I was a new karateka at the tender age of 23 and wanted to know all I can. The forums are on phpBB (still) .. didn't know anything about design or hacks .. it was pretty OK for whatI needed.

The one I really spent a lot of time was the official forum for Elder Scrolls (the games series) .. I was playing Morrowind and wanted to know all I could about the game ..
