Moving Threads

This haven't happened to me but I have read a thread regarding this topic. I just would like to suggest that whenever a thread will be moved to the appropriate section, I hope that the person who made the thread will be notified through PM so that when he/she visits the forum he/she will not be looking for his/her thread.

Do you mean that you want to see a redirect for any moved threads?

Thanks for the quick reply.

A redirect is a good idea, but I just want the admins or mods who have move a thread to notify through PM the person who made the thread.

It's a lot more work than you think to have to write out a pm about it. We can either leave an expiring redirect, giving anyone looking for the thread where it was created an easy way to find it for a couple days, or better yet, the thread creator could create the thread in the correct forum in the first place.

If you can't find a thread or the redirect, go to your profile, and click to find all topics created by user.

Thanks for the suggestions. I guess my suggestion would not applied for it will just add more work. Well, its the thread starter's fault anyway if the thread is not in the correct section. Thanks for the ideas.
