I remember when the 2 major boards used to be Ultimate Bulletin Board (UBB) and vBulletin. Then came along phpBB, followed by Ikonboard, which a developer from Ikonboard sprouted into Invision Power Board (IPB), and I think Yet Another Bulletin Board (yabb) was in there somewhere.
Through it all though vBulletin has remained the standard for forum software programs. There isn't anything that even comes close to the functionality and scalability that vB has to offer. No, I don't work for vB but I really like their product. |
