Trouble with Mods after upgrading?

I usually try to stay away from installing many mods on my forums, and one of the reasons is because I figured it would be a major hassle to upgrade. To those who have a lot of mods installed, is it ever a problem for you?

I am not a fan of too many mods. I only get the essentials. I haven't ever upgraded a forum, so I have never run into this problem.

Yes, this is a huge hassle, especially for IPB. There have been mods that were just never updated and so we never got them back after an upgrade. One or two might work right away but that was rare.

Mods are not hard to install, and so I never considered them a bad thing come upgrade time. It is just a shame to get used to something and have to do without for a while.
